How many of you have read Sam Harris' books "The End of Faith" and Letter to a Christian Nation"? - christian ending to letter

I read both and thought they were brilliant. For those of you, a read or two, what do you think?

I did it twice. They are staples on my shelf. Very well done sterling. For those who say that at the statistics: The statistics are easy to bend. Any person can be said to lie about it.

Sam Harris struck a chord with both books, of course. He got what he wanted to do. Love him or hate him, he helped make atheism corners and place it the focal point in public opinion, as Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens. The fact that Christians feel the need (to write and talk about countermeasures based on ridiculous ... "full of logical errors") pounds each time one of these three men released shows exactly how Hitchens and Dawkins and Harris are achieving their objectives.

Never heard of him until now have. I am impressed by what I read about him and his two books. I hope that the religious community would try to take revenge against him. It endicted all religions in his words: "The suspension of reason in favor of religious beliefs, even when these beliefs inspire the worst atrocities of man." That's my kind of man.

I have read and thought, "This guy is so off base that people will convert to Christianity." Boy, was wrong. Harris has virtually no knowledge of history, the mysteries of the text with errors in logic makes the statistics at the top of his head, and lies on the survey results.

No offense, but really have no idea what is wrong with this nut case. Go read "The Irrational Atheist" by Vox Day for an introduction, as Sam Harris may be wrong.

I have read, not the end of faith (but expected shortly), I read the letter to a Christian Nation. Great book. A bit extreme for my taste, but I agree in every point he makes. Also, that a particular statement should be many problems before this nation (USA) is effectively made a "Christian nation" as he turned, when the atheists and others will not restore his rights (and the injured from you who do not believe that their rights are being violated, they are.)

Yes, it's a little pretentious, obnoxious, know-nothing Bigot. I'm sorry for you that you have found a loss of lighting vocabulary.
